Trinidad is one of the country’s most perfectly preserved colonial city. The fantastically restored sixteenth-century town has astatus as a UNESCO-declared World Heritage Site. Trinidad is beaufiful for its unspoiled marvellous architecture. Its cobbed trafic-free streets, red-toiled rooftops and jumble of colonical mansions makes it extraordinary.
The only way to get about the old town is on foot. Highlights are Plaza Mayor, Parque cespedes, and Iglesia Francisco de Paula. It’s nice to walk around and relax. By far the liveliest place in town is Parque Cespedes, which has an open air salsa/disco, near the Church of Plaza Mayor, nightclub La Ayala nightclub, and Las Cuevas hotel, a fantastic location in a hillside cave.
Trinidad is closely located to the mountains of Escambray and the Caraibian coastt. During our stay, we will visit of the most beautiful Topes de Collantes National Park.
